VP Harmonic Balancer Big chunk missing
Hey, Just wondering if anyone can give me some advise, car started making some noise today, I had a look and the front of the harmonic balancer has a big chunk missing. Will this be alright to run over the next day until I replace the balancer? any help will be appreciated
yeah ... just dont rev the car to hard ..... take it easy ..
Vn executive 1990 200,000kms as of 13/6/08 , oil changes every 5000kms since it rolled out the factory , strut brace for hard cornering, kn pod filter, Ngk iridiums sports exhaust..what else can I say I love my holden
If if does crap out am I safe to assume the timing will go all of a sudden?
no. mine had all off its rubber fly off against the limiter in 2nd, put dints in my bonnet from the under side, car still ran allright just makes a horrid clacking sound
if it comes right off you can throw your belt then car will over heat , can smash crank angle sensor , could end up in your radiator ...
as I said accelerate slowly and no high revs ...

O.K, thanks! I will make sure I keep an eye out for my battery light then! If the belt comes off then that will come on straight away.
