    Default Major help needed calling help from vn owners

    Hi guy n girls

    I picked up a riddin of manual vn cheap and decieded to do a manual converison taking engine and box out as one and engine and auto out as one and change the looms over and swap everything over. Everything went sweet until i came time to crank the engine. got spark but no fuel pump no injectors pulsing. I looked at the engine tages both 89 s1 vns but the problem is here vn s1 89 sep is the auto vn with the manual engine and loom connected but in Oct 89 which was the manual vn they used the s2 engine loom in the s1 motor so i have a few problems as the looms have new by passes and are different to the series1 loom. Has anyone had this problem how did you make the maunal s2 loom work on the series 1 loom.

    OK CHANGED LOOM TODAY TOP ORGINAL ONE ON THE OTHER ENGINE SO BOTH RUNNING SAME LOOMS s1 NOW SAME PROBLEM NO POWER TO FUEL PUMP OR INJECTORS WHEN IGNITION IS TURNED ON NOT COMMING ON WILL START ON AERO START SO THERE GOOD SPARK BUT THE FUEL SYSTEM ISNT GETTING POWER ALSO THE ONLY OTHER THING THATS NOT GETTING POWER IS THE ILLLUMATNION NUMBER 7 FUSE UNDER THE DASH EVERYTHING ELSE HAS POWER ? ANY IDEAS MAYBE A PLUG OR A WIRE THAT COULD OF BEEN KNOCKED OFF UNDOING THE STEERING COLLUM>?

    should have just left the loom, and did the conversion i did, and i have a nov loom, it should be fine, to use your old loom, take the other loom off and use the loom you started with. also the computers dont matter either they are the same auto and manual, does it plug in different where the fuses are under the bonnet? and where the computer is aswell in the car?

    Hi i have now changed the looms and still the same problem engine cranks will start on aero start so its got spark. but still not hearing the pump come on ignition and there no power to the injectors also there is no power to illumantion under the dash any1 have any ideas? any plug i could of knocked off under the steering collum when putting pedal boxx on ?

    Yes. You need to be methodical and check all plugs, fuses and relays. When you turn the car to the "on" position the fuel pump should run for approx 10 sec and switch off unless you turn the key to "start".

    on the vp there is small black wire that earths to the steering wheel, i couldnt get mine started without connecting it, i only found out coz i did a whole dash out and forgot about it.... maybe check there
