    Default rocket cover help please!

    Heyy all

Yesterday i drove my vn v6 and a squeaking noise started from the engine bay. I popped the bonnet and the noise seems to be comming from the left hand side(thats looking at teh engine from the front). The higher the engine revs the faster the noise becomes. It sounds like mayby a push rod or mayby a valve? any suggestions?

I tried to take the rocket cover off and it gets stuck on the power steering pump bolt and the brake booster.

any suggestions would be really helpful as car is off the road and I need it on the road asap.

    cheers tyrone

WTF your VN has a rocket? If its squeaking maybe a stuffed valve stem seal... Really need a better description or a sound clip. Oh and rocker cover. But if you do really have a rocket in your vn i'm thinking miss jane may be rubbing one out...

    rocker cover.

    drivers side then?

it could be the bearing on the idler pulley is shot. new pulley with bearing is about $25 or so.

Nah it sounds like the engine internals.

My girlfriends dad says it sounds like a push rod is bent or mayb a valve.

It dosnt sound sound like he bearing in the idealer pulley cause it deffently sounds like the internals.

There should be a strap you can unclip, to pull the rocket cover back completely. Unless you have one with the elastic straps? You may have to cut the straps to remove the rocket cover if it's stuck bad.

You should look into this brand of rocket cover, they have unclipable straps, so you never get them stuck again
