    Default vn - ecotec

    i know there is probably allready threads allready, how hard is it to put one in? basicly wat are the average costs stuff like that

    Hozy did this conversion on his car. There's a few ways you can go about it, but you're basically looking at abou $100-$200 on top of purchase price of the engine, if you do all the work yourself.

    And it's medium/hard on the difficulty scale if you've never done an engine change before.

    why go to an ecotec ? any special reason

    pretty much i figured it would be cheaper on fuel and smoother engin i know that i could just buy a vs or something but i like my vn its my very first car ive owned it since 04

    basicly just wondering whats req for the conversion wiring ecu and stuff like that

    The money you'll spend on changing the engine, you might as well spend on fuel. Personally i don't think its worth it for that reason alone, but if you just feel like getting your skills up in the area or as just a hobby type of thing then by all means it would be a nice conversion.
