    Default hub adapter kit

    so why do u need a hub adapter kit for vt brakes (for a vp)

    just didnt know this question so hoping someone can shed some light on why you need a hub adapter etc.

    VN/VP: brake rotor has wheel studs on it
    VR/VS/VT: wheel hub has wheel studs on it, brake rotor slides over the studs.

    No, they have a different offset. And you can't just bolt on a later style hub, you need the specific hub to suit the VN-VP stub axle.

    You can get rotors that will fit the VR VS hub without a spacer ring that fit the VT calipers.

    Mines a '99 VS Statesman and as far as i know most series 3 VS Statesman's came with VT brakes like mine, so maybe get the struts and brakes from a late VS Statesman?
    Just an idea.

    I've got a set of struts from a VP that had ABS brakes....got them cleaned up and painted, just waiting for hubs and brakes now.....by the way rooster, u get that heatshield felt piece out from behind the dash yet?
