    Thumbs up VN Skid Car.....

    Hey Guys.

i have a VN Wagon here and want to turn it into a bit of a skid car...

    It's only a 6.

i need some ideas for it though..
also can i run the car with no cat?... just run the "Y" Piece and headers??..

    So far the list is...

    *Remove Bellmouth thingo
*Weight Reduction (seats, all the things that dont matter....)
    *Weld the Diff up

lol short list.... what else can i do?.. to make it more powerful, and sound better (cheaply if not free!)

    anything unroadworthy welcome!!..

    thanks

LOL @ guy with hole in his bonnet and pod filter sticking out last night, @ VCC.

OK, so you want to drift your V6 wagon. Im assuming its an auto?

OK, what i did to get my VP ute drifting (auto)

    Was lowered HD springs, shocks
    4.11 gears mini spool
HD suspension parts, as in HD sway bars.

    Besides that, on the cheap.

    4.11 gears, mini spool
    Drop it on its guts

And learn to do the old scandinavian (sp) flick

ok first up ya on the right track but ya should have used a mini spool not welded the diff up it will destroy its self relay fast with welding i run a pod through the bonnet on the vp i use to race as seen here http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/...717235338.html

i wouldn't bother with taking the doors out if ya take everything that's not necessary out it will be plenty light plus the deadner ect as for the exhaust nothing from the cat back works i made up a pipe so to vent the hot exhaust out the side

apart from that get a shorter belt and remove ac ect good luck

cut the springs down as low as ya can (this has nothing to do with the burnouts just looks cool ) it will also aid in not tearing ya rear bumper off when ya blow the rears

put a line locker in it, near driver seat. it locks the back brakes of so the fronts work and nothing holds the back.

    will go off the show!

i don't know if u can do it to a vn wagon but when i removed the spring shocks and bump stops out my vs ute i used two u-bolts linked together on each side of the diff to hold it to the under side of the tray so the diff couldn't move, looked tuff as **** and had no traction at all.
also rip out any interior parts you don't need and maybe get in there with a grinder and start cutting shit out.
also remove the back brakes completely.
