    Default how much power?

Just curious how much power would a vp put on the ground when it has a vs ecotec engine and manual gearbox with vs electronics, 1:1.98 ratio rockers, bored throttle body, extractors and a foam tune.

PS greenfoam if you read this i want to get incontact with you for a tune or 3. you are hard man to get hold of.

it's hard to find someone who can do a tune for that correctly at a reasonable price.

Ok I'll talk to you later once I finish some 5 litre tunes I'm working on these last few days. But please do get rid of the VS ecu, on the VN ecu, 140 rwkw will be doable on that setup if the engine is healthy, you could make the same power on the VS ecu but it will be trouble with a big T. The best power I got from a VS with that setup and a VS ECU was 138rwkw (but it was an auto). But like I said I can't take any tuning on for a couple days because I'm way behind with ones I'm supposed to have done since ages ago

vp spec and vt specs for the sensor are the same.
    Looked into that one.
same resistance at same operating temps.

I read that to mean he has swapped in an ecotec, not just the ecu. Can you run a VN ecu on an ecotec?

As far as power...most ecotecs I've seen have been about 100 or 105rwkw stock, so add a little for the manual, and mods and probably around 120-130kw???

you don't have to much power till the industrial shed echos and the ground shakes.

delcowizzid, you forgot the MAT sensor i had to fit into the manifold!

yes traction is a problem .... but i am dealing with it the best way i can

centy: i noticed you've mentioned you want a lower octane friendly tune, problem is i only have a 98 approved tune .... i am planning to make a 91 tune so i have the option to flick between them if fuel is too dear or i can't get 98 etc but at the moment i haven't even started down the 91 path....

umm, yeah so bog stock eco, other than the sensors (vn CTS, MAT, MAP, and knock), then stock headers, into 2.5 inch cat, 2.5 muffler and out the back .... vn t700 with stage 2 shift kit and shes a goer

    i will have
ecotec, t5, 1:1.98 rockers, bored out throttle body, extractors, 2 1/2 or 3" single muffler cat back, (way loud) cold air intake, smoothed intake pipe and a free flow filter.
Later i may add the inlet plenum spacers to cool it down a bit more.
What more can i do without boost or changing internal?

I plan to use dynostorm on the car before and after for some real numbers.

with those sorts of mods im not really sure that my tune would suit your needs ... like i said its for a stock eco ..... just the rockers alone will make it want more air/fuel than my tune would deliver....

as for the way loud 3" exhaust, i wouldn't waste your time ... 2.5inch is even too big almost for a stock ecotec .....

as far as what else can you do to it ... probably not alot .... but a 'good' dyno tune would probably be your best bet to get the most power and economy you can .....
