Hey all
Just wandering how hard would it be to do a v6 to v8 conversion for my wagon and how much would it roughly set me back cheers
really depends on a few factors, how cheap you go with the running gear if you install it yourself etc. best to get a donor car then it will have anything you need
yeah sweet thank .
yeah the only hard put is finding that donor car
watch smashed auctions look up pickles online
I'll give you the best advice you ever had on this matter.
I bought a VP V6 Berlina wagon a while ago, with the intentions of doing a manual V8 conversion, and all electrics. The car was an Auto V6, only had front power windows, and cruise control/power mirrors. Level 2 Dash, and normal air con.
I then spied on Ebay, a VP Berlina LX Wagon, Manual V8 (manual conversion done by holdens....), with all electrics factory fitted (4 power windows, climate control, Level 3 Dash etc). I paid $4500 for it, and drove it from Vic back to SA.
The pissed off the other wagon. You should do the same, $4500 is alot cheaper than it will cost to do the same electrics/motor conversion yourself (a donor car itself will cost upwards of 3k, IF you can find one)
