Default Will Sv5000 16x7's fit a VN wagon

    Hey,

Just picked up some of the above mentioned 16 x 7s with 225/50/16s. Have fitted one on the rear and it seems pretty tight for space under there now. I have king spring low's fitted too.

Can anyone let me know if i'm likely to have problems with rubbing with this combo?

    Mate,
Should do OK. I've got the same wheels and tyres on a VN sedan with no problems. They are offset outwards slightly from IRS 16" factory mags so do come close. Same wheels were optional on HSV packs for wagons although with narrower tyres.

SV5000 rims are actually a 16 x 8" rim... They will fit, but you are better off finding a 16 x 7" rim from something like a SV LE.

The SV5000 didn't have IRS, what it did run was a VL diff (well same width as a VL diff), hence the different offset to compensate for a narrower diff.

Thanks for the reply hemi. What's your ride height like, are you lowered at all? As i said i've got kings lows with the factory panhard rod.

yes they will mate i have a vn hsv le wagon v8 which came out stock with those rims the vn sv le wagon was released before the sv 5000 with those rims stock the rims were released bebefore th sv 5000 but due to the number of sv 5000s compared to the number of the sv le wagons built (80) is how they adopted the sv 5000 title check out squared arches . com they have everything about vn vp specs. also car is lowered so no problems before i picked up this rare as 5.0 le wagon i had a bt1 vs that was super low up front and ultra low at rear and that sat on 18s easily could have gone 20 by 8s if wanted but would of had to lift up the back springs also in relation to the vn hsv le wagon i would considor selling if price was rite email kalma2@live.com.au

Yes it's lowered with Lovells on the rear and kings on front. FE2 height. Good ride and steers well with great turn in. Why go lower?

SV5000 rims are 30P offset and the VN is 43P so they will fit easy as plus VN wheels onto a VN will be easier then VY to VN and we see that all the time

thats a funny question to ask mate considoring those rims were not originaly for the sv 5000 and that name was just adopted for the wheel cos they came out on the sv 5000 and intern made them popular they were originaly put on the 1989 vn hsv le wagon and they were called pentagonal styl rims as the vn sv le was released before the sv 5000 those rims came out stock on this wagon and is where the sv 5000 sourced them from so since the were desighned for a vn wagon you wont have any dramas good site to check out for all vn vp answeres on every make is squared arches . com i own a sv le wagon this is how i know this

If you want to get technical, they are called something shitty like 'HSV Family rims'.
