central locking and possible steering problem.

Hey guys, i have two problems. first, i have a 91 vp sedan with factory fitted central locking and when the driver's door is open, the central locking doesn't work and when the doors are closed the central locking works. is this normal or is there a problem and what could it be???

second, i have a 89 vn sedan and have just gotten a wheel alignment done and when i drove away afterwards, the steering wheel went slightly off centre. again, is this normal or what could be causing this???

any and all help and suggestions much appreciated. thanks.

central locking - that is normal. its pretty good in a way. prevents you from locking your keys in the car.

wheel alignment - they should have alligned the steering wheel when they did the allignment. you could just pull the steering wheel off and rotate it very slightly and put it back on but i dont know if this is the right way or not.
