What seats will fit in my VN?

hi guys.. i'm thinking of changing my seats in my VN exec...
just wondering if i could get a list of what seats would fit in my VN..

i real like the look of the VT and VX seats!..

will they fit?

pics would be GREATLY appreciated.

I've got a nice set of Statemans seats. I think they are out of a 92ish Statesman.

They are dark grey velour and look really nice in the car. I liked them but pulled the out to fit genuine SS seats.

There is one seam coming apart on the drivers seat but it's only the seam and it can be easily repaired.

I'm located in Elizabeth South.

If you're interested in having a look let me know. Price will be cheap. I also have a set of VN SS seats. They are in very good condition but need a shampoo.

Almost any seats are better than VN Exec seats.

I went the cheap way and found a set of VP Calais seats and door trims from a wrecker for $50. I installed the cloth door trim inserts onto my manual window trims, cleaned the seats with 'Spray and Wipe' and put them in.

They are the same seat foam as any calais/statesman to VS and are very comfortable and supportive.

Call me crazy, but if theyre clean and in good condition, I like them. The headrests may be pointless but theyre unique lol.

I like the look of the calais seats but theyre too soft and you move around in them.

But seriously look at VP on Calais/ Berlina (LX) seats. Same foam cut as VN S2 and on SS seats. These aren't overpadded and soft like VN Calais seats.

And it'll save all that rooting around trying to fit and comply seats not designed for your car.

Last thing you want is a defect from an attitude adjusting copper.

Ahh yes I was referring to VN calais seats, which are like sitting on a sofa. Diddnt know there was a difference. As for my liking of exec seats, them along with cotton throw-overs makes them feel like totally different seats! It makes the shape of the seat stand out more and gives them a comfortable yet firm 'feel'. I may sound weird but Im cool like that.

This post wasnt to deter the OP of new seats.

oh.. can u get defected for having different seats? i had no idea..LOL

also that would mean that if u have a crash or sumfin the insurance will not cover you because diffrent seats?

I think generally if you need to change the seat rails for them to fit, you will need it engineered.

As for insurance your supposed to tell them. depending on what type you have.

you can put any seats in aslong as ur not re drilling holes into floor for bolts.
get vs rails and attach whatever seat u want to them and then bolt rails to floor bobs ur uncle

how about the rear seats of a sadan into a wagon? i know the bottom half goes in without any difficulties....but the top half is in 3 parts. i went and got vp calais seats today...and knew that puttin them in will have a little challenge to it, wondering if anyone knows? i know that the vr hsv wagon did the similar thing....but not actually seen how they were attached
