I've just driven my VN S2 V6 after doing up the front brakes.
By adding a 1" master cylinder, VP S2 Discs and calipers (All PC from the wreaker) and new Ferrodo Zero pads and fluid the brakes have gone from wooden, weak and unresponsive to the opposite- great initial bite, progressive and powerful with a good pedal feel.
They may not be Group A spec but for a total cost of about $145 (Cyl $25, Rotors $40, Calipers $40, Pads $36 and fluid $4) the difference is astounding.
Anyone still on VN, VP small brakes do yourself a favour and upgrade.
i second that my old vp wagon had the pedal feel of a model t ford.

Yes I know, if you get anymore manly you are in danger of making yourself pregnant!
i couldnt stop my wagon down a hill with stock brakes. I had the stock brakes machined and new flash pads installed and it was exactly the bloody same no improvment at all.
I did find in my fathers wagon(its only a 6 banger though) they worked alot better, must be just the extra weight of the motor that makes a bit of a difference.
vt twin piston calipers and 1inch master on vn commodore, 5 times better than single piston vn / vp brakes
I done the same, VP SII brakes and 1" MC. Except with brand new slotted rotors and race spec pads. They work great for a track day![]()
