Default Really rough Idle and random increse of revs?

Okay so I just went to started the VN after putting the new TB on(v8) and It was running rough and loud and suddenly it just increased in revs after a few seconds. Would this just be the throttle body? or did I screw something up? lol

Could need the ecu reset, also bigger tb should have a retune. Things that could cause are dirt, tune, sensors, or gasket not sealing. Id reset the ecu and see how it goes then.

I can reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery yeah? same as clearing a code?

Yer, Make sure you warm your engine before you disconnect the battery though, then once u disconnect it for a bit reconnect and rev to 2k for 15 seconds.

Yeah I will do it tomorrow, when i can be bothered switching the censors back, as the v8 one had no sensnors, hopefully I haven't dammaged any more them, but know my luck... Anyway thanks for the help man. But if it is the v8 throttle body making it go haywire, would I just need to get it properly tunned then fit the v8 tb back on?

I really think its one of the sensors, I think I dropped one whilst putting them on the new tb, would that give me this effect?

you could also have a air leak ...

the throttle body gaskets should have something applied to it when putting back on if resusing old gasket...

also the idle control sensor may need adjusting ..

make sure all vacum hoses are on correct inlet ...

I realised I left a hose off, but now when I put that on it stopped running rough but now it revs its tits off when I start up, Is the throttle cable too tight? if so how do I adjust this?

If the throttle cable is too tight the butterfly won't close all the way and too much air will flow past. There should be a bit of slack in the cable at idle

When I start her up she revs her tits off that why I figured its too tight, I do think that its a little tight also because theres very little slack in it.
