I am nearly sure that you will have to either lift the engine up or even take the engine out to do it. I can tell you for sure though, you can't replace the sump without at least lifting it

2 ways, pull motor out and swap it off car OR support motor with either a beam/crane, drop kframe and suspension gear and drop it that way.

how bad is it dinted? i wouldn't bother if its not that bad, but if the pickup has been damaged then id be looking at replacing it and the pickup..

probably a good idea to remove and clean out the oil pickup while the sumps off. should take 10 mins but save you trouble in the future.

    good luck!

If you're after a new one I can help you out. I work at Australian Specialty Racecraft (Site Sponsor, Have a look at the Sponsors part of the forum.) You don't have to lift the engine or drop the cross member, but it helps to. Jack the car up, Support your engine with a crane, undo all the bolts involved and drop the cross member, then reaching all the sump bolts it easy (unlike doing it without dropping the cross member.)

PM me if you want to know more of our performance oilpans.
