Vn Door Lock Problem

i need some help with the door locks of my new vn. when u put the key in the drivers door and turn it unlocks all four doors. when ur trying to lock the car by putting the key in the drivers door. it will lock all doors except the drivers.
so u cant lock the drivers door with the key.

so at the moment i have to open the back drivers side door and push down the drivers lock form the inside which locks all the doors so i can then shut it.

so all the locks are working correctly just for some reason the key wont lock the drivers door. any ideas why?

Hey mate, I'd say that your lock mechanism is near stuffed. Try getting another one from the wreckers and fitting it. Also check the electrical connections for dirt or corrosion. If they are not clean then the current will not get to the actuator and it will not lock. Check the rod connectors also as they sometimes break being made of plastic. Hope that helps. Cheers

Had same issue and it was the actuator.

umm would anybody be able to help me with the door trims.
how do u get the window winder off? and does the trim just pop up over the inside lock button?

to get the winder off thers a type of clip that goesa round the winder indide the door if you push the trim in you can see it and all you need to do it pop it off with a screw driver. the inside lock comes off if you get a amall screw driver and pop out the red bit that you can see when the lock is up. thers a screw inside the button housing that takes out the housing and lets you take the trim off.
