I have tried everything to get my cruise control to work, the cruise control was hooked up and working when I ran it with the VN calais loom in a vp, and with the vp ecu loom(im only saying that, as it must have something to do with the ecu side of things, because i have replaced the cruise control unit in engine bay, tried jumpering it so the CRS comes on the dash (it only comes on for a second when i flick the key to off and back on to ignition), i changed clusters, i changed cluster lights(maybe cruise control wasn't working because of a blown globe? but either way, the globes are working!), i changed the switch block, bought a new one
the cruise block light turns on, but the CRS on the dash does not
the brake pedal module was working in the vp, so don't see why it doesn't in the VN, i even tried jumpering it so it turns the CRS on the cluster?
brief run down of my project:
I have recently converted my Toyota Lexcen (VN) to VN Calais loom (battery side loom)
The plugs on the vn calais loom did not plug into a plug that was on the ECU loom(the immobiliser -- i think it was), and some how I decided to put in a VP executive ECU loom, and that all connects up fine.
The VP ECU loom did not just place in the engine bay, I had to make the water-wire longer, the exhaust sensors don't plug up -- need to get vn holden ones.., and because the VP ecu loom did not have the alternator wire (series 2 does not bolt straight to a series 1 engine, I had to do a few wire cutting/extending... ie; water wires(extending to the back of engine) and making a wire from batt. to alternator so it charges the battery.
EVERYTHING works... except for:
CRUISE CONTROL - any ideas???
and
INTERIOR LIGHTS - any ideas???
in short, this is the biggest mistake EVERY! its doing my head in over the last 2 days!!
