    Default vn5 litre surging while idleling

    just put a engine out of my vnss into a vn wagon 5 litre auto.starts up fine,but surges while idleling.when put into gear and driven it does"nt miss a beat. does anybody know what could be happening .any info will be appreciated .cheers cubic inches

    check for fuel leaks, i had really bad surging and i found the rubber hose on the fuel rail was loose. Also could be the old dirty throttle body and gummy IAC.

    sorry fellas i have not replied.had a mate look at the car.checked the timing and it was advanced around 30 d instead of 6 degrees.but dont know how it changed .as i have never adjusted the timing on this engine.anyway all good.lesson learnt.cheers 4 the info
