Default Anyone fitted VP rear spats to a VN?

I ran a search but didn't really get out if it what i wanted.

I learnt that they dont match up right and theres some hassle with brackets etc.

Just wondering if anyones done it, how hard it was, did it look good and was it worth it.

    Cheers.

people have and it looks bloody hideous. they dont line up properly with side moulds or anything, the only thing that can look *close* to o.k is VQ spats, but even then i dont think they look good

what car r u putting them on?.....if on a VN u'll need the VP door moulds or it will look odd with the chrome strip not lining up.....as for the brackets, have fun. I was able to get one side from holden, but can't find anyone who can get a set off a car they r wrecking.....I believe they r spot welded in place with the spat held to the bracket by 3 bolts....fitting the spats is the easy part, its the brackets that r a bitch....even harder if the arch lip has been folded back.

I'm still not giving up.....once I have the other spat I'll be ready to get them fitted to me red car....my white project car has the arch lip folded back, so that one will be a bit more difficult

So youve got a VN, and you changed your bumper etc to VP?

    Make a how-to lol.

Because I've been keen on doing it. I can imagine it looking good if it matches up.

by folded back do you mean rolled? like completely flat against the inside of the panel?

I've got a VP one piece rear bumper, the 2 spats & 1 bracket and a Group A front bumper so far, with VN SS side skirts coming next week....as soon as I get the VP Calais moulds and the other bracket I'll be ready to roll.

and yes, folded back as in rolled arches.

Should look fairly sweet once your done mate. I can't say i share the same enthusiasm for my VN's looks.

Installing ultra lows soon, installed a rear venetian yesterday, and some bigger wheels soon too.

I assumed spats would be a quick n' easy way to make the car look a bit cooler. Seems i was wrong.

Yeah i can see that the installation would be fairly easy. But its the wrangling up of bumpers etc thats the hard part - which you are in the midst of currently.

I've got VP spats, but now think the 1 bracket I've got is for a VQ....I'll know more tomorrow when I go see the parts manager at Holden
