How do i remove the front standed radious rod bushes the ones on the X member
Also how is the best and easyest way to remove that 30mm bolt
Real cars don't power the front wheels, they lift them
Remove the bolts securing the lower control arm and K frame to the Z bar, and then drop the lower control arm (cylindrical bush + nut and bolt) and remove the Z bar. The bush is then pressed out, and a new one pressed in. Keep in mind, if you don't have a press, the K frame bush (radius rod bush) needs to be fitted professionally.

so cutting the rod bush out and replacing them with nolathane bushes would or wouldent work?
was also thinking of melting them out![]()

I cut and levered mine out, somehow; then installed the two piece nolathane ones. The bushes on the control arm need to be done proffessionally.
anyone else done it any diffrently or have another way?

just done the front one. cut through the rubber on the outside with a hand saw and broke most of it away then knocked them in with a hammer.
just replaced the whole arm. instead of the bush got all new bushes and ball joints in one go.
yeh same, pretty much just a case of **** them up as best you can to get them out, I've done the same replacing them with the nolathane bushes with amazing results - I love the feel they give 20million times better
