What's the tire size? It should be writen on the side of the tire.

My understanding if 245 or higher the front strut hits the tire, 235 is max.

Try swaping the fronts with the rears? But maybe the 40 profile messes it up aswel?

yep...235/35 for them to fit...any wider or bigger and you'll have the problems you're experiencing.

    hey all

Couldn't you just put spacers on hubs? wouldn't that solve the solution????

spacers are illegal tho and they make the studs weaker

i fitted my vx gts on the vn with 245s, really does depend on the tyre tho i didnt have trouble withe height although it was preety ***n close. maybe hit the spring base wid a hammer to massage some more room

na i would rather just get other rims then hit bend smash anything and use spacers. i put 235/35 on and its about 5mm gap

yea that sounds about right. i think mines about that too.

but as beefcream stated, it does depend on the tyre manufacturer. they are all different. ive had some 235/45/17's that were fine on the rear and then got some cheap ones and they rubbed on the outer guards. :S
