Default Problem fitting cold air intake vp 3800

I've just started fitting a cold air induction to my 92 VP 3.8
after installing i cant close the bonnet as there is no room.

how do i get around this problem with out modifications to the bonnet or the intake as i have seen them fitted to other VP's with out a problem.

Invest in a heatgun mate, and heat up the intake and put something heavy on it to press it down. this resolved my problem of the bonnet not shutting

Boil the kettle, pour it over the intake and shut the bonnet.Come back 5 min later and it should be right.

Yeah get a heatgun, or if you don't want to spend $15 use the kettle way lol.
