    Default VR manual sedan gearbox into VP wagon?

    will it fit and why not? what will i have to do to make it fit?

    yes
    change everything over maybe look for a different tailshaft, manual wagon and fool the computer to think it is auto still.

    do a search many how to's on this.

    thanks mate, my mate crashed his vr and im buying his gearbox (t5 i think its called) for 2 grand so if i do need a new tailshaft ill use that

    lol dude WAY to dear.
    I just picked up a mangled vs (front damaged and interior torn up) for $800 delevered to me 200 km away.
    I will be putting the ecotec and manual t2 into my vp very soon.
    Average price for a conversion is under $1000.
    only v8 getrag and t56 seem to go over this figure.
    Head to a auction and get a whole car cheaper.

    the gearbox was rebuilt 8000 ks ago and he said i can have it installed (hes a 3rd year app mechanic) for 1500 and im getting a bunch of other parts off him too pretty cheap coz he wrote off his car

    Whats it going to cost you in total, including the installation?

    An entire conversion kit for a V6 is around $900-$1200 with a box that hasn't been rebuilt. Rebuilt boxes go on ebay for the $1k mark. Installation shouldn't be any more than $600-$800 for someone who knows what they are doing.

    installation is included. im also buying some 17 chromes for 150 some vt brakes and a few other bits and peices when i get to it.
