As the topic says i am looking at a VN sedan tomorrow.. i am no stranger to cars.. this will be my 15th i believe but have never had a Fuel injected car before.
The one i am looking at tomorrow is an Executive V6 Automatic. Not sure if it is a series 1 or 2. Has 281 000km on the clock the body is straight as a die with perfect paint. Interior is original with the original tape deck in it. I say an older person owns it as its bog stock and shows no signs of P plater. It has rego till May next year with an asking price of $1200..
Is this around what they are worth with that many KM on them? I have tried getting an average idea from prices they have sold for but they are really all over the shop.
This will be my everyday car.
Cheers
Josh
wouldnt bother with those Kms and that price - its a $500 car at best.
haha i guess i jumped into the wrong end of the pool"? i got a VN S with similar Km's for 2 grand.. my first car tho so i though id just go with it mess round an do better with the next car i get.
sounds alright, some people get good cars for $200, but i've never seen them.
for reference, i sold my vn exec sedan with faded paint, no roof lining, minor damage on the rear bumper, perfect interior (minus headlining), leaking power steering, 320xxx kms, LPG, full sound system (headunit, three amps, sub)
for $1250.
damn good car and i wish i had it back too
haha my interior is quite good besides headlining too few stitches comin out in rear seat i noticed when i was workin on it, and have only noticed a minor scratch on the hood bout 10cm long an its not really that bad, other than that the paint is pretty good, not faded at all, not any other major scratches/dints. nothin special about my car.. yet.. an like i said i payed 2 grandstartin to sound like if i used my brain an looked around more i woulda got it either cheaper or a better one for the price
but its done so itll do for me.
I'm probably going to sell my old V6 for 550 this comming Tuesday, it's got faded paint but is straight and mint inside. FE2 suspension, new V8 rotors and such all around and a SS steering wheel :P. It's too much car to sell for 550 really but in the end you can't really expect much more for a VN in the current market. This kid specifically wants a series 1 VN because he knows it's the quickest car he will find for the new P plate laws and mines a quick one and it's been sitting around for a few years and no one else has ever wanted it so I'll probably sell it to this kid
how many Ks has ur car done greenfoam?
270,000, I bought it off the original owner at 170,000
Hmmm its hard to find one in good nick around here in my price range
Yeah, they're all getting a bit long in the tooth
Doesn't matter it must of sold as it is no longer there.... You can still find some in good condition but they don't last long.. I'm really looking for a VP-VR though.... i'm pulling my hair out without a car!!
