hi im shaun.
i recently brought a new kenwood car stereo and im having some probles installing the unit.
i took out the old eurovox cassete unit and i then clipped the wiring not realising that i should have broght a wiring harness. than i tried wiring the old ones to the new and because it had different colour coding i had no idea wat the **** i was doing. so i went and brought a wiring harness and re-crimped on the old harness then wen i finally done it all and plugged in my new stereo with the new wiring harnesses it didnt work although it would still take a cd but no audio. basically the problem is tht there is no display on the face.... and the old one worked fine wen i had it in. but now even wen i chuck the old eurovox back in there is still no lights on tht either.......
can any one plz help me

Yes I know, if you get anymore manly you are in danger of making yourself pregnant!
something is wrong so piss off the old harness you re-crimped and the new harness as well. if it takes a cd that means you've got the constant right, but your acc is fluxed.
now you've just got the wires, here's what they mean:
Accesories - Yellow
Constant - Orange/White
Illumination - Brown/White
Earth - Black/White
12V OUTPUT - Yellow/Red
Speakers
Front Left (+) - Tan
Front Left (-) - Grey
Front Right (+) - Light/Green
Front Right (-) - Dark/Green
Rear Left (+) - Brown/Black
Rear Left (-) - Yellow/Blue
Rear Right (+) - Blue/Orange
Rear Right (-) - Blue/Black
refer to your headunit installation guide and wire it up. for testing purposes just twist and tape to see if it works. no point soldering if it's still wrong or not working. i actually leave mine like that as well, but that's 'cause i'm dodgy and i wouldn't recommend doing that.
