lately.. well for awhile when i drive and let go off the gas pedal while moving around 30-80ks it makes weird noises from the rear of the car, i dont know how to explain it but it sounds like its coming from the tailshaft or something??
from the drivers side of the motor theres a loud ticking noise like theres a clock in there?
and would vn s1 heads fit on a vr s2 motor??
cheers
might have loose exhaust
If it's a Vibrating sound.. It's most likely your Exhaust. Mine is currently doing that atm ...
It's one of your Exhaust Mounts most likely
it makes a clonk noise when i let go of the pedal. i doubt its the exhaust i dont knowww its weird, could the tail shaft make that noise??
When it's ticking, is it coming from what sounds like underneath or the under the bonnet? That could be your lifters being sticky...........
As for the rattle, check to see if you have any oil in your diff and your not running it dry.....also whilst you are under there, make sure all your nuts and bolts are tightly done up on all your tailshaft, diff, and gearbox.
Also check to make sure your rubbers that hold your exhaust are still there and in tact, and not just sitting there LOOKING like it is. Just check everything under there before you start thinking maybe internals somewhere?

yeah i was thinking it could be injectors.. i doubt the lifters the motors been reco'd like 5,000ks ago
maybe its the diff then i didnt check the diff oil ill do it when i get the diff gears
it wont be the rubbers on exhaust there all new
it sounds mechanical ...
thanks for the post !!
id hate to say it but my statsmen did the same thing and it was the bottom end bearings sorry if this scares you but it happen to me![]()
Make sure that the centre bearing on the tailshaft is ok. Also check that the 6 bolts that hold the back half of the tailshaft to the joint in the centre are tight. It may even be that joint itself.
