hey how are ya, go down to your local supercheap or something along those line and head down to the spaypaint section they should have a book with a list of cars and there corresponding colours and they should have a serial next to it, look under the hood of your care and on the driver side there should be a ID tage with paint colour trim and engine and so forth writen on it, take that number of the paint down and match her up easy as pie

    cheers

On your Build plate on the firewall in the engine bay im pretty sure there is
a paint code as well as a interior colour code, this code will tell you what colour it is from the factory.

If it is Imperial Blue . you will have a bit of trouble with it as i was a faulty colour mix . It will start to oxidise ( a white powdery film ) and eventually peel off over the years . This happened to mine. You can extend the paint life by using a paint cleaner and then keeping it polished and waxed .Also keep it out of the harsh sun

they had a clear coat over the paint didnt they? i thought cut and polish was bad for the job as it will ruin the clearcoat and expose the paint. you see alot of vn-vps with 'hacked' looking paint cos the clearcoat is missing. might be wrong but does anyone know if its safe to polish the arse out of new models?

you can buy various products that are designed for cleaning clear coats. its best to use " Mothers " ( thats the brand name ) paint cleaner . it strips off all the old polish . then give it a good coat of wax . this stuff also removes the oxidisation .
