So I've had a search around and read a few other threads, the battery warning light is on in my VP, battery died on me yesterday, put a fully charged one in, lasted roughly 20 minutes then died again, I'm assuming from the other threads I looked at that it's the alternator/regulator/alternator brushes? What will need to be replaced?
If anyone can shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated!
Hey on the back of the alternator there is a littleish black box with two flat head screw head undo them and replace it that is your voltage regulator.
thats the most comon prob,
had the same problerm with mine but after a reco alternater the warning ligh still comes on buggered if i know what my problem is thou![]()
Real cars don't power the front wheels, they lift them
Replaced the regulator and it works perfectly, forgot to put the radiator hose back on before taking it for a drive though.![]()
yeah normally just the brass bushes go
glad it was that
