just curious to know if anyone knows what this noise could be coming from and how to stop it, seams to be coming from dash speaker, but only happens when a window is down? its a mates vp and has done it since the day he bought it,
Sounds like a Seal might be in the wrong spot (Or missing it)
I know what you're talking about. But I've always thought its somthing to do with the Seals.
Anyone, correct me if im wrong![]()
which seals are you talking about? like window seals? all have recently been glued on securly, thought the noise was due to a dodgy speaker until i realised it was coming only when the window was down, i can get a video of the sound, gets quite annoying considering we smoke so windows are down most of the time.
If it comes from the Speaker, I've had that issue before..
I believe it was my AMP was not tuned right or something
well car was bought from a pretty dodgy wreckers, (****ed my mate round a bit, they put speakers in for him), sounds like its coming from the speaker, but if it was the speaker wouldnt the noise not come if the volumes on 0? dont think its coming from under the bonnet, seeing as it can only be heard in the car while windows are down?
Check the pcv hose. (the vacumn hose at the back of the plenum) It might be split or not even connected.
The firewall can stop alot of noise from the engine bay which you may only hear when the window is down.
What side? Maybe the side mirror?
Is there a Crack in the Back off the mirror, the plastic bit?
im 100% sure theres no crack in the passenger sides mirror's plastic and about 80% for the drivers side,
i tried covering it with something today to check if it was the wind, still made the noise, will get video tommorow if that helps.
my vp dose this and mine is because the bonnet sits higher on one side than the other not sure about your issue good luck![]()
