Double thread? Cross thread maybe? Stripped thread? You would have to be a twit to cross thread them lol

If you've cross threaded it once you remove it just run a tap through it and see if it can bring it back to life, if not just drill it out and go bigger bolts.

the bolt itself should go first seeing bolts are generaly soft but being on a head i would get a tap set and re-tap them ones you have done! this should not be to hard. or as said before drill them out and go bigger

If you going to re-tap your heads.... take them off first!

This applies to re-drilling the holes too.... dont take any shortcuts.

The easiest way to determine if you have done any damage would be to run a tap into the thread and try and guage the resistance you feel winding it in.. it should go in fairly easily.

    aZk.

when you get the tap ask for intermediate or bottoming tap.
both would be best to get the thread clean all the way in.
to go over size then spend the money and helicoil it back to original.
