wierd gearbox

i found today that i could push the gear lever more into 1st than what it did usually, pretty much also saying it has 2 spots for neutral

put it in 1st, and then can go another inch forward, and thats the same with 3rd and 5th, 2nd and 4th are the same travel and going into those other gears, well can go further.

gear box on its way out or something no-ones heard of before?

If everything in the gearbox is still working fine, then it's probably a problem with the detent ball/spring or the shifter.

Although if there is extra movement in the gearstick, the roll pin holding the offset lever in place may have fallen out.

yeah the gearbox is working fine, just tested today putting into 5th along highway (normal spot) then while driving just pushed the gear stick forward that extra inch but not crunches or disengaging of the gear so could be what u said about the roll pin or so
