I just sold my VN for $550 and apart from the faded paint it's mint, I was never going to get $1000 for a VN at this stage in time so I just sold it to someone that will enjoy it and keep it alive. Thats the best I could do

not sure what it is about perth but most of the commy's over here (unless they are complete buckets) sell for way more than the do in nsw/ vic.
just type vn/vr/vp/vs into ebay and see how many there are, selling cheap as, compared to autotrader or the quokka.
i paid 2k for my 89 vn berlina, with grandad spec. seems a bit steep, but only had 140 000 on the clock and i bought it off the guy who bought it from melville holden when they were new.
    plus its manual = awesome.

haha you will be dissapointed if youre expecting all problems to be solved just because its a VP.

Ive got the best of both worlds. VN looks, S2 V6 and various VP parts lol

i used to live in wa. and the local paper/trading post was called the quakka i think but you get some great deals in there but you gotta buy it the morning it comes out.
or use ebay i just picked up my vp wagon, v6 5speed 2.5inch exhaust lowered etc. for 1500. the guy wanted 4k for it but set a low reserve in the hope of more bids but i won for 1525. he was a bit crappy bout it but still handed over the keys.

LMFAO. I hope your not referring to the spotties, looks like they were just thrown on afterwards. Only thinkg the VN has going for it is the bootlip, other than that, VP SS wins hands down!

well i'll probaly consider a vn if it a berlina or something but i had a s1 vn s a few months back, leaked from everywhere it could posibly leak, clunked when u put it in gear or accelerated (uni joint i think) wind noise from every window, tacho didnt work, tappets were worn, trans slipped in second etc etc lol, maybe it just had a hard life. I like the look of vn and vp's but i always thought vn were crap.

    whats every1 opinion on a s2 vn???

Sounds like you had a lemon. Apart from the S1 donk, keep any car well maintained and there shouldnt be a problem. My motor doesnt leak a drop (maybe the occasional drop here and there), replaced steering rack, lines and resealed pump so no more leaks from that. whole cluster works, no wind noise from windows, the auto box that I replaced diddnt have any problems, no problems at all really. I always thought VN's were crap too and originally wanted a VP for that reason, but then the VN came up and went with that. Now I stand up for VN's because theyre not as bad as every makes them out to be. Any car will be shit if you dont maintain it properly.

My VN is a series 1 (late series 1) and it never gave me any problems, it's actually better built than my VP, but I like VP's because they are more sexy :P. Azzfox has forgot to tell you his dream car is a VP manual, he just doesn't remember that now that he got a VN

IF you must get a vn then make a s or better and a later one.
They are much closer to a vp spec.

I don't know how anyone puts the VN SS on the same planet as the VP SS, The VP is clearly 5000x better looking. The VN is ok sure but the VP SS is almost a heart stopper

that vr did not reach his reserve and only had a bid of $510.
Go make him a offer, find out were he is go look and wave the cash around under his nose.

Aucions to are a good place to look.
