    fuel pump and or filter.
when you open the throttle enough fuel is not getting through so the car seem to lack power.
had the same has and found a blocked filter screen.

Do ya normal check, Pod/Pannel Filter clean.. Fuel Pump/Filter/Lines.

And, if you can (I will hunt for a guide on how to --) Open your Throttle Body and give it a clean

With a bit more information I would be tempted to say the CAS. Have you let the car cool down yet to see if the problem still occurs when cold? If it's fine cold, yet starts playing up when hot, it will probably be the CAS.

foamy it seems your an expert for a reason.
the fuel pump was getting louder in the last few months, knew it was on its way out, thought that would be the problem. tried leaving it to cool down but mad no difference. got under and gave the pump a whack, made no difference.
so got the voltmeter out and checked the relay, the pump was only pullin about 1 amp under load, was fine on idle but no good when opening the throttle.
so new fuel pump bought today, will be back on the road by tomoro arvo.
    cheers for the advice guys.

Give credit to centy, he posted first I was just backing him up. I've had a fuel pump fail in the VN so I knew how that goes
