    Exclamation 1990 vn missing realy badly

    hey guys i just bought a vn v6 for cheap as chips as the guy thought it might have a cracked head cos it over heated and did a head gasket. now he got a new head gasket put in and it still did it so first thing i did was flush the coolin system and put a new thurmostate in it now it sits on a perfect temp but is missing quiet badly any ideas?? goin to put new plugs n leads in it this week hopen that might be it but am worried it could be the head

    Coil pack, DFI module, shonky leads or as I found out after spending countless hours ripping stuff apart... a cracked spark plug. It was just a hairline crack but it caused the car to shudder quite badly and backfire with the foot down.

    I think the next thing to do is put new plugs and leads. My car stopped at a set of lights and wouldnt start again until it finally did. It was missing in the engine and as soon as I got home I changed the plugs and leads and it ran smoothly and sounded nice. Is your car idoling properly if not I think plugs and leads

    hey yeah turns out it had a cracked spark plug and who ever did the mechanic work on this car should be shot lol they left the spark plug protector out of the plug socket on one of the plugs aswell thanks guys this web site is great for advise thanks (Y)
