got a clubsport rear bar, not totally sure what it came off, it was on a vn, but not sure what it originally came off (i think its vn-vp, but not sure.. he recons it was vr.. dunno) anyway on the inside of the calais bumper, its got two grey clips to hold it to the car.. but the clubby one has nothing, and i dont think the grey clips will hold it on properly. what do i doooo? and i dont really wanna just put screws from it into the boot, someones already done that with it >.>
cheers guys.
(p.s, the bar is like.. a green yellow.... its gonna look shit aye!)

(001) is clubby bumper, and (002) is calais. can i put the bracket thing onto the clubby bumper? and how..
well yes it does have a couple, however will they hold it? cause that means theres only two screws on either side to hold the front half up. if it works fine, i'll do it![]()
you could you'd have to put screws through from the outside of the bar though....counter sunk screws would be best then bog over them so they are not seen

seems to work fine on my mothers. i'd run 2 on either side for added strength though

its vr/vs clubby back bar dont put on your calais its good with stock calais kit.
sorry scouser :P the calais bar fails lol, the clubby bumper makes my car look heaps lower, and im gonna paint it, and my boot black soon. and i just got a qoute to get front coilovers and my rear suspension done with konis (may aswell get the best when i upgrade hey.) was like $3500 so ill get the bar for now to make it look lowergonna put it on tommorrow with some self tappers and screws in the front where the mud guard screws should be, someone reccomended a peice of wood against the panel, and a bit of thin tin between the wood and the bumper, and then screw through that (to hold it, and also prevent it from cracking or braking anything..) is that a good idea? orr?
hah, well thanksi like the way your lookin at it, i was a bit suss on it, i thought mmm maybe it'll look shit, but it doenst look too bad, and if i paint it black and keep the silver on the bottom, it should look nice with my tail lights, but i dunno. we'll see yeh?

yeah, plus clubby one is fibreglass lol, so im definitly keeping calais bumperpainting it in the next couple of days xD
are you putting the rest of the kit on? if not, its going to be ugly. if you are, it will still be ugly anyway. standard calais look is much better

fibreglass the clips onto the bar this is wat i has to d with my f/g bodykit workd a treat
hmm if something goes wrong when i screw it in, i'll try that, but i really cbf atm :P i just spent 4 hours sanding it >.> thinking of painting it black, with like a blue or purple through it. yes, it might look ugly, but it might not, we'll find out. and im looking into a custom front bar.
okay, got it on (was a pain in my ass) screwed it in.. took a few hours but solid, think it'll be fine. however; i can understand why its so expensive to get just a boot or bumper or w/e sprayed for anyone who doesnt know, its harder then people say >.> i was happy to spend the time. atleast it turned out how i wanted it.will get pics later. thanks for all the help guys

edit: by lookin at this pic, my tail lights are NOT legal. lol :P and im going to be painting my boot and bar black with purple through it, i'll go to autobarn and get some random shit mixed up :P or does anyone know a paint code? (im looking for mainly black with a shade of metallic purple)
and i will not show pics of the side now because its ugly :P when i get skirts i will. (took 3 days of workin my ass off to do all that >.<)
i thought it was going to look like shit, but that actually looks really good. definitely unique. well done!
hah cheers mateshould look better when its painted xD
EDIT: also, does anyone know what kind of front bar this is... http://www.discountusedcars.com.au/u...e/6757246.aspx
Okay, well i finally decided to mount this bumper properly. but, i dont know how im going to attatch those clips (that were mentioned above..) (as also mentioned above, i could use counter sunk screws..) but actually attatching them isnt the problem, im just wondering how everybody else would go about finding the position they have to be in? should i just measure it?
Cheers.![]()
id fibreglass the slides on the bar, heaps strong if done right.
yeah measure and trial fit before you glass the slides on so you will have to work out a temp way of holding the slides on so you can see if you got the measurements right..
thanks allotbut hmm, what could i use that is strong enough to hold the clip on while it clips on, without damaging the bumper when i pull it off? O.o
SH*T load of duct tape?![]()
