Default vn calais rear bar, to clubsport..

got a clubsport rear bar, not totally sure what it came off, it was on a vn, but not sure what it originally came off (i think its vn-vp, but not sure.. he recons it was vr.. dunno) anyway on the inside of the calais bumper, its got two grey clips to hold it to the car.. but the clubby one has nothing, and i dont think the grey clips will hold it on properly. what do i doooo? and i dont really wanna just put screws from it into the boot, someones already done that with it >.>

    cheers guys.

(p.s, the bar is like.. a green yellow.... its gonna look shit aye! )

well yes it does have a couple, however will they hold it? cause that means theres only two screws on either side to hold the front half up. if it works fine, i'll do it

you could you'd have to put screws through from the outside of the bar though....counter sunk screws would be best then bog over them so they are not seen

sorry scouser :P the calais bar fails lol, the clubby bumper makes my car look heaps lower, and im gonna paint it, and my boot black soon. and i just got a qoute to get front coilovers and my rear suspension done with konis (may aswell get the best when i upgrade hey.) was like $3500 so ill get the bar for now to make it look lower gonna put it on tommorrow with some self tappers and screws in the front where the mud guard screws should be, someone reccomended a peice of wood against the panel, and a bit of thin tin between the wood and the bumper, and then screw through that (to hold it, and also prevent it from cracking or braking anything..) is that a good idea? orr?

are you putting the rest of the kit on? if not, its going to be ugly. if you are, it will still be ugly anyway. standard calais look is much better

Okay, well i finally decided to mount this bumper properly. but, i dont know how im going to attatch those clips (that were mentioned above..) (as also mentioned above, i could use counter sunk screws..) but actually attatching them isnt the problem, im just wondering how everybody else would go about finding the position they have to be in? should i just measure it?

    Cheers.

id fibreglass the slides on the bar, heaps strong if done right.
yeah measure and trial fit before you glass the slides on so you will have to work out a temp way of holding the slides on so you can see if you got the measurements right..
