manual to auto?

hey can anyone tell if the tail shafts are the same or not between auto and manual...am looking at possibly swapping the auto in my wagon for a T5 manual in the sedan a friend might be buying. so need to know if my wagon's auto tailshaft will fit the manual and same for the sedan if the manual tail shaft will fit the auto? thanks for you help guys

Auto and manual are different. You only need the front half of the manual shaft. Check this thread out if you haven't seen it yet.

thanks no i hadn't seen it yet lol.... wtf they reckon that i need an adaptor to go from auto to manual even though they are both series 1 vn

Yes you need a adapter, look here and you will know why V6 Crankshaft Info
