    Default vq torque converter clutch

    Hi guys,

I have read with interest several threads on this and other forums on the subject of vibrations on vn and vp,s. I have a vibration at around 1800rpm and have come to the conclusion it is to do with the torque converter clutch. I originally thought it was the tailshaft, new unis, centre bearing, engine mounts and no fix.

By disconnectinc the TCC wiring I get no vibration and I am sure now this is where the problem lies.

The vibration only occurs at minimum throttle and doesnt happen all the time, but can be a pain.

I am not all that up with it as far as autos go and wonder if anyone may be able to help by answering a few questions.

    1. is the TCC in the torque converter itself?
    2. Is giving the trans a service likely to help?
    3. I read somewhere that the solenoid can give problems, should i try replacing this?
    4. any other ideas?

    Thanks in advance,

    hoots

Thanks for reply guys, yep replaced gearbox mount.

TCC is torque converter clutch, there is a 4 pin plug on left of trans that controls the clutch from the ECU.
