Question 93 vp. How do i adjust idling please

I have 93 vp berlina and the other day the mrs took it for a drive and ever since it wont idle. if i put it into park or nutural it idles to low and dies but in drive or reverse its fine. can i adjust by the nuts on the accelerator cable or is it done by computer. any directions would be appreciated as i love my commy and is mint other than this. it will idle when chokes on but idle lower than it used to with choke. without choke it stalls.

    you got a choke?
    mine doesn't.
thottle body sevice and maybe replace iac valve is what i would say if yours didn't have a choke.

You don't/can't adjust the idle. It's self adjusting. If it wont idle something is broken and you should fix it. The likely problems are the tps and iac

firstly try taking off the tb and hit it with a "throttle body and carby cleaner" give everything a good clean out, if it still doesnt work just replace the 2 sensors, no need to replace the whole tb mate

you can manually adjust the idle, but this it isn't recomended. The screw was fitted to ensure there is a flow through of air even when the TPS isn't active.

The throttle stop screw sets the minimum idle speed possible. The idle air control valve increases the airflow, hence idle speed, around the throttle plate from there. Maybe try a search on base idle (speed)'.
