    Default How To Pop Bonnet

Tried to pop the bonnet on the project vn today after the radiator shit itself.

Pulled the bonnet release and ...Nothing - it wont pop it, if we listen when we pull the release we can hear it trying to do something at the front of the bonnet but nothing happens

    Ideas guize?

whack the bonnet hard on the corner near the drivers side door as youre pulling it, or else get someone to push down on the centre of it while pulling the release

if the cable is streached than replacing it is the only way - but check the catch spring as well as this can stop the bonnet from opening too.

heat may have stretched the cable...also try holding the release cable on the white plastic as you open it as they can flex there to

Get a second person to push down and then pull up the hood as you lift the release tab. But yeah otherwise you do need to replace the spring and cable.

Oh another thing is if you take the plastic tab off and get some pliers and pull on the release cable, maybe pulling the tab does not provide enough travel for the cable if you know what i mean.

    all fixed.

It seems the cable had stretched, but we re-attached both ends, then used the power of cable ties to put some strain on the cable in a few places so its tight again.

    Sweet.
