Cylinder head reconditioning

Hey guys,

I got a set of cylinder heads to replace my old, rubbish, ticking ones.

I'm looking at reconditioning them with new parts, a port & polish, and shaving them back to increase the compression ratio.

Has anyone done this before, and do you have advice as to good quality brands of parts, or any other advice that I might find useful?

You may have to make a few phone calls, there are a few businesses in Fyshwick and a couple in Queanbeyan who seem to know what they are talking about.

Last weekend I just finished replacing my heads on my VP, so If you run into trouble give me a hollar, i'm just around the corner.
