gearbox problems

over the last say 14 months i have owned my vn v6 auto she has had a vibration as the converter clutch locks up.....now the converter does not lock up at all the car is running hotter than normal and i can feel it slipping when under it and changing gears.....question is . if the clutch has come apart in some way as it would seem it has could it be letting metal flakes into the box and destroying that to? and should i replace just the converter or not risk it and replace the box as well?

i have the same issue in the new car TCC is stuffed will vibrate with the slightest rise in the road at 100kmh but gears all work fine it will be sending a bit of stuff into the box but hopefully back to the sump and being filtered out by the filter im just going to fit a new TC and see how it goes $15 at pick a part or i have found a brandnew one never used for 50 bucks

cool yeah my car is way down on horsepower so i am inclined to think the box has taken on damage to...put it beside my mates stock calais (apart from cat back 2.5" exaust and CAI) and he ate me so that is how far down on hp it is lol

yeah mines down on power but its not running right but the converter cavitates on power too when pushing it ide say the converter is so inefficient from being flogged out its robbing power

yeah seeing it's my daily driver and the only car in the family right now i think i will get another box as well as a converter for 180 it is better to be safe than sorry and means only pulling the box out once hahaha

Mine does the same damn thing. Sometimes over 40km/h it Vibrates...

Gona check the Exhaust Mounts and see if it's them.. But I doubt, as this only happens sometimes..Not all the time
