Vg ute squeaky breaks

Hi all

Recently just got no brake pads in my ute, Been about 3 months now and they still squeak and carry on like crazy! thought it might have went away by now i drive bout 800kms a week back and forth to work so have done alot of kms since getting them done.

Anything to help get rid of squeak or what??

You can try scuffing up the discs and pads with garnet paper - not emery paper which contains Al oxide - to remove any glaze but that's likely to be a temporary fix.

Gluing the pad backing plates to the caliper and piston can help. There are products designed for the purpose but ordinary contact cement works OK.

It may be characteristic of the pad compound => swap with new pads.

Grease or oil on the disc surface can also cause noise. Are the hubs seals leaking grease?

Nah no leaks. might take pads off and have a good look everything. They were cheaper pad... could be just crap.. all though noticed today its only on front.. backs are fine not a noise at all.

did you use anti squeal when you changed pads, i didnt when i recently did mine and they squeal bad
