    Default Vn s1 t5 > vs

    Hi all,

After recently having an accident in the VN, Sadly I have decided it's not worth getting fixed and will be scraped after i pull the good parts off it, one of the major parts ill be removing is all the manual bits to either sell as a kit or keep for future projects.

Already starting to look around for a clean VS sedan or wagon to buy in the near future. What i'm wondering is, will all the manual gear from my Series 1 VN Wagon be compatible with the Ecotec motors? I know certain VS models still retained the T5, what i need to know will the bellhousing/crossmember/tailshaft/pedal box from the VN fit the VS? The only part i know is different is the Flywheel with the VN being 6 bolt and VS 8 bolt.

    Cheers

Yes all that will fit (sedans and wagons have different rear sections of tailshaft)

Thanks Jason, just what i wanted to hear

So if i remove the front half of the tailshaft it should bolt upto the existing rear half on VS sedan/wagon?

Also i know it will throw error code/powertrain light, anyway to disable it in the memcal? I have all the equipment to erase, edit and program eproms, would much prefer doing that instead of trying to source a manual ECU.

But this is looking good will have a chance to re-condition the box while its out + new clutch, spigot, flywheel etc and be driving manual again
