In order of cost vs speed gains

Tune, by far the best cost vs performance
    Cold intake
    Twin Exhaust with X pipe
    Camshaft
    Manifold
    Headers

At the end of those you will be at 200 rwkw+ if you get everything right

10 Hours labour? Probably about $900 if labour is $90 an hour, but can be up to $110.

Plus the cost of a cam, plus you would be silly not to do head gaskets etc whilst the engine is apart.

Why not ring a few mechanics instead of asking a question that will get 10 different answers on here?

Most mechanics won't do it in three hours, most mechanics have other cars to work on too

Plus, engine apart, gaskets etc done and cam in, dialled in etc etc etc and all back together in three hours? Not likely.

The day I find a mechanic that charges for three hours' labour to change a cam, is the day I stop doing my own work on the driveway.

Yeah that's if you JUST put the cam in. Most people do new head gaskets etc and freshen it up a little.

    Sorry Cobez for the inconvenience.
Just about every post on here could be solved by doing as you ask.
It was just a passing thought and besides I dont think there are any mechanics open right now.
I will think more about my post next time.
    Cheers
