    Default Hmm high idle.

I have a high idle on my car and I received a code for my IAC Sensor, I've been told its not sitting right? I have put a 5 litre throttle body in and its been idling high since. I read somewhere on this site that some had to have a spacer on the later models? So would an IAC from a 5ltr vr engine or something fix this issue?

The IAC's are all the same, do you still have the one from your V6 throttle body?, if so stick that one in and clean the bore it goes in while you are there

Make sure that you have no air leaks.

Maybe try adjusting the base idle - a V8 will draw more air for the same engine speed than will a V6? Mark the current position so you can go back if you wish. There should be some posts about how to do it but briefly, engine @ operating temp., A/C and fan off, air duct off and block the IAC port with a finger, adjust idle to ~500-550rpm - exact speed depends on the model. It's possible that may move the TPS voltage out of range and set a code.

I have adjusted it, and the mechanic has put a new one on and it still idles all arse-about. Apparently there is a diffencent type of IAC in later models or something I've been told?

Sounds reasonable. There are a couple of different shapes of the pintle (on the end of the IAC motor) used.
