Someone's a Jim Carrey fan. (i get the monopoly guy quote)

Why don't you put a pillow on the seat or something. Usually most car seats are the same, among commodores anyway (in comfortableness).

Not unless you use rear Calais or Senator seats. the Senator interior that had in my Statesman had the most comfortable rear seats I've ever sat in the front were as hard as rocks and had that stupid side bolstering was no good for trips longer than half an hour and made getting in and out difficult!!!
And good luck on finding a Senator interior.

Why do you need to change the rear seat aswell? Assuming you are the owner/driver of the car.

i found my vn seats a tad boring
so this is what i did
what i did first was to find a nice comfy and neat looking set of seats that i liked best (hence the caprice seats)

with fitting sedan seats in a wagon
(note if you want the head rests in the back seat you will need four plastic lugs from a rear seat ie vr s2berlina wagon rear top or the old front seats that hold the head rests in place.)
Rear Bottom SEAT fits same as wagon to sedan
1st remove the backing of the material from the old rear top seat
you will see metal bars running through the foam then across the back frame
slide that up and the foam is now removed.
THEN YOU CAN USE A STRONG GLUE TO HOLD THE MIDDLE ARM REST IN PLACE ON THE METAL FRAME
THEN PUSH THE 4 PLASTIC LUGS INTO THE METAL FRAM ON THE BACK TOP SECTION OF THE WAGON
AND ATTACH THE L & R SECTION TO THE METAL FRAME ITS BEST TO WRAP THE MATERIAL FROM THE NEW SEATS AROUND THE BACK LIKE THE WAGON SEATS THAT HOLDS IT INTO PLACE.
YOU WILL NOTICE THE WINGS HAVE TABS ON THEM WHICH PUSH INTO THE WALLS ON THE STATESMANS AND CAPRICE I TOOK THE LUGS OFF AND ATTACHED NEW MATERIAL ON MINE AS IT LOOKS UGLY.
