Default water leak into spare tyre well

ok its happened to 1 of my vp's and my vq so im guessing it could be a common problem,
water is leaking from somewhere into the spare tyre well. i think it maybe the 2 black air vents or whatever they are that you can see when the spare wheel is out and its going into the rear bumper and through that, i havnt had much time to have a good look or try to fix it so if anyone else has had this problem please let me know,

    cheers!

its very common actually. Mine had it happening but drained out because it had rusted through.

Check the boot seals and rear quarter windows, also the rear tails lights.

Best way to check is take everything out, stick the hose on the roof and let it run as a dribble for about 10 minutes, im betting its the seals on the brake lights

Have a look here - How To Fix A VN-VS Boot Water Leak

Also check the taillights. One side on mine was the window, the other side was the taillight

rear quarter windows. Remove plastic trim on the inside of car remove the 5 or so screws holding the window in push it out clean of the old crap and mud get some sikaflex and re seal them should be good for another 10 years.
Could also be the rear tail lights water leaking in threw them so reseal them also.

It was the tail lights in my vq that were allowing water to get into the boot, both sides. Luckily I had another spare new set of tail lights sitting here so just swapped them over and haven't had a problem since.
