    Default Vp 304 Tachometer missreading

    Hey all

I've recently, for my gorgeous fiance, picked up a factory black VP Calais (304..., Manual too!) in need of some major mechanical love (oil leaks anyone??) and am only begining to unleash the can of worms. The tacho seems to be over-reading, sprintcars dont pick up revs this quick! There has been a bosch gt40 coil hooked up (yes, a black, elec. dizzy job), a shyte job mounting it but its rigged up right. Is my issue a common one, anyone come across this before??

    Cheers
    Garth

i know that a new resistor needs to be put into level 2 and 3 if the dash was originally v6, any chance it could have had a new dash put in to lower the odometre?
