Thanks I have some on my phone, but will take some with camera so I can down load. The cracks run around the tower it's self. You would never know as it handles real well. Since I found the cracks I will not drive it.

id say theyce bogged it over to paint it and it has cracked due to the flexing in towers.

I'm with pub247 here, I think they tried to "smooth" the seams on the towers, SO they used BOG before they painted it, an thats cracked.

if it was me i would take off the wheel on the cracked side and have a look from underneath the strut that way you can have a scratch around to see if it is just the bog/filler cracking or something more severe

All though it's too late now, i always run around a car with a few magnets if i'm interested in purchasing it, especially if it's had a recent respray.

    Wow thats ****ed!

Can you actually see through the guard? Or does it just flake off like bog?

if it you can see though the guard,
I'd get it to Peddars Or a smash repair place to take a look at, Preferably on a

    TOW TRUCK

    Bad news

Also thats passenger side strut aswell? Pic looks mirrored.

cut the same piece out of another car and get it spot welded under the crack then spot weld the crack down.
diy job if you are willing to buy a single side spot welder and a arc welder.

spot weld is good as it is less likley to crack through the weld.

I agree. It doesn't look that bad. As u say it still drives fine, so just weld it up and she'll be good!

mm my mate bought a VR ute and both strut towers where cracked...so we cut the old ones out and welded new ones in, its a big job but as long as your a good welder and know what your doing its worth it..

but yea had to strip all the frount end down fairly far ... but its not the end of the car cause its a gotta crack like that
