How to: Source your own diff gears and remove them yourself
VL diff has a 25 spline axel 8.75" BW diff with 3.45 ratio gears i believe. vl turbo had 28 spline 8.75" same as the vn ss/vp ss diff.
Cost me just under $1000 for 3.45 and LSD rebuild and install. Thats with supply of parts to.

I built mine for $0. But normally a VL diff could cost you anywhere up to 100 bucks, they all have the 3.45 gears then you need to take those to a diff man and say stick these in my car,. Couple hundred labour I guess + parts if you get the diff rebuilt (bearings seals)
so after installing the 3.45 gears what would be a noticable diffrence? speed or acc?
Also same question fr the 3.73 gears as i might go that way if its better

The higher the ratio number (ie. 3.45, 3.7, 3.9) the quicker the car will accelerate, top end speed will suffer as a consequence however that wouldn't be an issue unless its a drag car.
now its coming together lol, got the 3.45 diff gears bout 20min ago only cost me a six pack of beer.time to install lol

Hey guys,
This may seem a bit random, but speaking of 3.45 diff gears,
i own a VY V6 , and purchased it with a VY SS LSD, and im not quite sure what the default gear ratio is??
Im looking at buying a set of 3.45's but im not sure whether VY SS LSDs have 3.07s or 3.45s stock..!?
I need an upgrade!
