Default Can i replace my power window door rivets with bolts?

Wierd question but my rivets have some play in them that hold the power window regulator to the door itself and i want to know if i can drill them out and put bolts in so there is no play at all?

I think they're either meant to have a little 'slack' or bolt heads are too big for where they are.

ah just throw bolts in it and check it out and see if it works and everything goes back together.

I installed power windows in my VS and used rivets... It doesn't seem to have any play. Just replace them with the proper size from your local hardware store..

Did you drill them out one by one replacing them as you go or did you take the whole mechanism out and do it?
